Gaia Wrap - one way stretchy wrap (SW60) Check Availability

Overview:

Stretchy wraps are a lovely cuddly option for babies in the first few months of life, a fab choice for easing that 'womb to world' transition. They're super-soft, and mould beautifully to support a tiny body.  Once you get the hang of them, they're quick to tie too.

This Gaia stretchy wrap has really great breathability and softness. It feels thinner and lighter than our other one way stretchies.

Most of our stretchy wraps have an equal amount of elasticity along the width and length, but this is a bit more like a one way stretchy - with the stretch along the length (although still a little on the width, so maybe more of a one and a bit way stretchy!).   This means that you can do a standard 'pocket wrap cross carry' with it (as below), which is pre-tied, with your baby added after the knot is secure. When you pre-tie a stretchy wrap before getting the baby in, there's a guesstimated size/tightness range within which your carry will 'work' - this range is a little reduced in a wrap like this with less stretch along the length, so sometimes a two way stretchy is easier to learn with.

However, you have more options with a one way stretchy - it  works really well for a front wrap cross carry, which is usually the first carry people learn when using beautiful woven wraps. This means that it's a particularly great option for those thinking of exploring the world of woven wrapping at some point.
